1. Introduction
Welcome to CleanR ("we", "us", "our"). CleanR is an online marketplace platform that connects individuals seeking cleaning services ("Posters") with independent cleaning professionals ("Cleaners"). By accessing or using the CleanR platform, website, or mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use CleanR. By registering, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into binding contracts. Cleaners must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom and must comply with all applicable regulations, including obtaining any necessary insurance.
3. Account Registration
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. CleanR reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. How CleanR Works
CleanR acts as an intermediary platform. Posters create job listings describing the cleaning work needed. Cleaners browse available jobs and submit quotes. Once a Poster accepts a quote, payment is secured in escrow via Stripe. Upon job completion, funds are released to the Cleaner, less any applicable platform fees. CleanR is not a party to any service agreement between Posters and Cleaners.
5. Payments & Fees
All payments are processed through Stripe. When a Poster hires a Cleaner, the agreed price is held in escrow until the job is marked as complete. CleanR charges a platform fee (currently 10% for standard accounts, 5% for Diamond tier members) which is deducted from the Cleaner's payout. All prices are displayed in GBP (£). Refund disputes are handled through our dispute resolution process.
6. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between a Poster and Cleaner, either party may raise a dispute through the platform. CleanR will review the dispute and may mediate a resolution. Outcomes may include a full refund to the Poster, full payment to the Cleaner, or a 50/50 split. CleanR's decision in dispute cases is final.
7. User Conduct
Users must not: (a) use the platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) harass, abuse, or threaten other users; (c) post false or misleading information; (d) attempt to circumvent the payment system; (e) create fake accounts or reviews; (f) scrape or collect data from the platform without permission. Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination.
8. Independent Contractors
Cleaners using CleanR are independent contractors, not employees of CleanR. CleanR does not control when, where, or how Cleaners perform their work. Cleaners are solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, equipment, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
9. Limitation of Liability
CleanR provides the platform "as is" and makes no guarantees regarding the quality of cleaning services provided by Cleaners. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CleanR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the platform fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Privacy
Your use of CleanR is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
11. Modifications
CleanR reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
